In Australia, the rules for drivers over the age of 75 can vary slightly depending on the state or territory you live in. If tour worried about you ageing loved ones driving skills, then best find out what the general overview is and what are the common regulations across each state.
New South Wales (NSW) – Drivers aged 75 and older must undergo a yearly medical assessment to ensure they are fit to drive. A medical report from a doctor is required.
At the age of 85, drivers must choose between a modified licence (restricting driving to within a certain distance from their home) or passing a practical driving test every two years to maintain their unrestricted licence.
Victoria (VIC) – There is no specific age when drivers must undergo mandatory testing or medical assessments. However, drivers are encouraged to self-assess and discuss any health concerns with their doctor.
Doctors can report to VicRoads if they believe a patient is medically unfit to drive.
Queensland (QLD) – Drivers aged 75 and over must carry a current Medical Certificate for Motor Vehicle Driver, renewed annually, which confirms they are fit to drive.
South Australia (SA) – At the age of 75, drivers must complete an annual self-assessment and medical report. A doctor must complete a medical certificate for fitness to drive every year.

One thing this doesn’t cover is the rules for interstate driving. It would be good to know if when driving interstate if the driver who is 75 must carry the appropriate driving certificate to state they are fit to drive once out of Victoria. as it appears all other states require fitness to drive. So if you got pulled over in another state would you need that certificate to state you are fit to drive. its an interesting topic and I’d like to know the answer.
I was diagnosed with Herpes four years ago. For over two years, I relied on prescribed medications and treatments, but unfortunately, my condition continued to worsen. The flare-ups became more frequent, the discomfort increased, and even simple daily tasks became difficult to manage.Last year, out of desperation and hope, I decided to try a herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but within a few months of starting the program, I felt some changes. My discomfort eased, my energy levels improved, and I felt I had more control over my daily life again. It’s been a meaningful experience for me, and I feel more like myself than I have in years. This is simply my personal story. You can visit their website at http://www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
